This old barn was originally located in Lee’s Summit and had been owned by the same family for more than 100 years—until progress arrived and the land was sold to developers to make way for Discovery Park. The family chose to keep the farmhouse and barn and relocate them to Grain Valley.
Unable to bear the thought of the farmhouse and barn she played in as a child being torn down, the homeowner contacted us to carefully dismantle and relocate the barn ten miles north. Our team methodically took the barn apart, beam by beam, and reconstructed it at its new home—preserving a cherished family heirloom for generations to come.
